YSGOL GYNRADD Y BORTH Yn yr ardal hon, fe ystyrir Ysgol y Borth a agorwyd yn 1976 ac erbyn heddiw gydag o gwmpas 300 o ddisgyblion, yn ysgol gynradd fawr. Daw mwyafrif y plant o'r stadau tai sy'n amgylchynnu'r ysgol a dim ond ychydig o'r disgyblion o rannau hynaf y dref sy'n agosach i lannau'r Fenai. Teithiai rhai plant o bentrefi cyfagos Llansadwrn a Rhoscefnhir ac hefyd daw ychydig o ardaloedd eraill y tu allan i ddalgylch yr ysgol. Daw rhai plant o amrywiol wledydd a'u rhieni yn astudio dros dro yn y Brifysgol ym Mangor neu yn Ysbyty Gwynedd. Felly mae'r ysgol yn gwasanaethu cymuned eang ag iddi amrywiaeth ieithyddol a chymdeithasol. |
Bydd y diwrnod ysgol rhwng 9-3.15 ar gyfer yr Adran Iau a rhwng 9-3
o'r gloch ar gyfer Adran y Babanod. Byddwn yn derbyn plant unwaith y flwyddyn ar ddechrau
Medi, sef y Medi ar ol penblwydd y disgybl yn bedair oed a gwneir y gorau bob amser i
sicrhau bod pob plentyn yn teimlo yn rhan o deulu'r ysgol. Yn ystod ei gyfnod yn yr ysgol
ceisiwn sicrhau bod pob disgybl yn datblygu i'w lawn potensial , yn cael ei gyflwyno i'r
etifeddiaeth Gymreig ac yn tyfu fel aelod llawn o'r gymdeithas aml-ddiwylliannol sy'n
prysur newid.

| YSGOL GYNRADD Y BORTH In this particular area, Ysgol y Borth which was opened in 1976 and by today has around 300 pupils, is considered to be a large primary school. Most of the children come from the immediate catchment area of housing estates surrounding the school, with a small minority living in the older part of the town by the Menai Straits. Some children travel from the surrounding villages of Llansadwrn and Rhoscefnhir as well as some from other areas outside the school's catchment area. Some children are from foreign countries with their parents studying for the time being at the University in Bangor or in Ysbyty Gwynedd. The school therefore services a varied community linguistically and socially. The school day is between 9 - 3.15 for the Junior Department and between 9 - 3p.m. for the Infant Department. Children are admitted once a year, at the beginning of September, or the September immediately after the child's fourth birthday, and we do our utmost to ensure that the child feels settled and part of the school community. During the child's time at Ysgol y Borth, we strive to ensure that every pupil develops to his potential, is introduced to the Welsh heritage and matures as a full member of the constantly changing multi-cultural society. |
